Mr. Robert Steward - General Manager
Mr. Robert Stewart is the General Manager of Ladera and the entire staff of Ladera are your hosts and will provide a warm St. Lucian welcome.
Ladera was once part of Rabot Estate, one of Soufriere's oldest cocoa plantations. In 1982 it was transformed into a unique resort. Built of Caribbean timbers, local stone and terracotta tiles, it is unique in design. Ladera is adjacent to the World famous Pitons which were designated World Heritage site in 2005.
Undeniably, one of Ladera's most beautiful assets is its people. The dedicated 110 person staff are genuinely happy to work at Ladera and they share this joy everyday with our guests. Many of the staff have been at Ladera since it first opened. They are pleased to go above and beyond to make sure that your stay at Ladera is the experience you'd expect from the world's premiere resort hotel.
Ladera takes great pride in being a "good citizen" of the island of St. Lucia. Many of the products used at the resort are made on island and our Dasheene Restaurant Chef, Orlando Satchell h
In keeping with its tradition of giving back to the St. Lucian community, Ladera has adopted the Les Etangs Primary School through the resort's "Adopt a School" program - supplying the funds needed for necessary bathroom repairs and a new computer and library building.
Another of Ladera's charitable efforts has been made possible in cooperation with The Wheelchair Foundation. In an ongoing show of community support, Ladera donated 280 wheelchairs to islanders in need. Read the entire press release Ladera Lends a Helping Hand.
