JJ a native of St. Lucia, has come a long way after sailing the first time on "Vendredi 13" on which he went around the world gaining experience in cooking, sailing and learning different languages in French, Italian, German, Swedish, and a little Spanish.

Fifteen years later he decided to set up his own business in "Marigot Bay" surrounded by lush vegetation and mangroves and fresh sea breeze. He has accomplished an entire resort comprising of one popular restaurant, and 18 lovely, romantic cottages. His restaurant and bar is now a favourite night spot for many, including foreigners who make it their bounding duty to be there to savour his special dishes.

Hard work plus determination equals success. This was the formula used by Gerard 'JJ' Felix, owner of JJ's Paradise Hotel at Marigot, to enable him to make progressive strides as a businessman.
